Colon hydrotherapy is essential to maintaining good health. My clients have reported benefits such as reduced fatigue, disappearance of liver spots, disappearance of skin rashes, improved energy and better digestion. Remember, wastes in the colon cause toxins to be released into the blood which can ultimately weaken your immune system. So, be proactive in your health and book some sessions; you WILL feel a difference.
Just remember that all the waves emitted by your cellphone are not good for your brain. Remember to use a headset, not a bluetooth.
Also, I have had a horrible time with a FIDO dealer in Calgary so I would not recommend you use the one I did. Call me and I will give you the details of all my horific experiences, I am so glad to see that someone finally is taking BELL to court. This industry needs to be controlled more closely to protect the end user.
On your way to the gym ? Want to have all the energy you need to get through that workout and still have energy left? As me about my power shake that I am drinking right now while I prepare this blog. I call it my "Cacao Blast ". Curious?
Call me.... I have lots more up my sleeve.
I am amazed each year at how much fatter our society is getting. I am also amazed how people wait until they are diagnosed with a lifethreatening disease like heart diease or cancer before they decide to take control. Studies have shown that obesity can lead to other health concerns like kidney disease, coronary dieaase, diabetes and a shorter lifespan. Want to see the world? See your kids grow up? See your grandkids? What are you waiting for? I can help you feel and look your best ever! No more excuses, let's get started.
Yoga is amazing to tone the body and relax the mind. Does anyone know a great, small yoga studio (not hot) ? In the south of Calgary I can't seem to find one I like.
How do you feel about the rain? As I cast a glance at the beautiful flowers around my house I appreciate the fact that the rain is nourishing them and I am grateful. Rain is a blessing from above and as it gently bounces off my skin, I feel truly alive. Rain is a natural therapy, nothing added, nothing taken away. Share your feelings with me; I would love to hear from you.
Here we are at June already although it feels more like November. Soon people will be planting herbs one of my favorite being Lavender. I use this herb a lot in my practice so it is the Herb of the Month for June.
Just for information, lavender is a member of the mint family. The word comes from the Latin lavare (to wash) which refers to the use of infusions of the plant. The oil, which I frequently use is noted for its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. I use it for relaxation and in fact it is one of the oils that does not stain. Therefore, it can be used on pillows to help with sleep by inducing a relaxed state. It can also be used to soothe insect bites and burns.
How do our Bodies produce Vitamin D? We need the sunlight to produce vitamin D in our bodies. The energy of the sun's radiation produces the necessary chemical reaction that turns the precursor cholesterols into a form of vitamin D that the body can use. The liver and kidneys then convert this form of vitamin D into Vitamin D3, a form that the body can use.
Vitamin D is often overlooked when people are taking supplements. Yes, we do need to supplement as it is not abundant in our food and our intake from the sun is not reliable. The time of the day, the season, pollution, age are all some factors affecting our ability to produce Vitamin D.
This vitamin is underrated and is invaluable for our bone health. Studies also suggest it is also helpful in reducing the risk of some types of cancer, assists in regulating the immune system, and reduce asthma symptoms.
Talk to your health practitioner about the dosage appropriate for you.
See the next post for information on how our bodies make Vitamin D.
Vanilla macaroons with lavender flowers (you can also add cacao to make chocolate ones). This is a raw recipe but you can add the flowers to your regular macaroon recipe if you like.
2/3 c either almond flower or cashew flour (grind nuts in Vitamix until they turn to a flour)
1/2 c maple syrup or agave
2-3 c raw shredded coconut
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp organic vanilla extract or vanilla powder
1/4-1/2 tsp lavender flowers
Mix everything together really well and drop about a tablespoon onto your dehydrator sheets.
Dehydrate for about 6 hours; check them after 5 as they may be the consistency you like; the more you dehydrate them the drier they will be. I like mine chewy so I dehydrate them for a shorter period. Temperature should be around 115 degrees in the dehydrator.
