About me... Carol Carter
Before I became intensely involved in the alternative health business, I worked as a Medical Underwriter in Toronto. This career required vast amounts of medical knowledge needed to correctly assess risks. Therefore to obtain my diploma I was required to study Anatomy and Physiology and Pathology in detail. I also worked very closely with medical doctors as my mentors which helped expand my knowledge further. In addition to these studies, I also studied Psychology at the University of Toronto which was crucial in helping to understand the “mind body” connection.
When several of my closest friends and relatives died of various forms of cancer, I decided, upon my move to Alberta, to train in the Alternative Health field. There began my amazing journey to improved wellness for myself and my clients. I enrolled in the Wild Rose College in Calgary where I studied Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology, Nutrition, Herbology, Aromatherapy, and Iridology. Through this training I became a Certified Nutritionist, Master Herbalist, Certified Iridologist and Aromatherapist. I then proceeded to study colon hydrotherapy where I earned the Certified Colon Hydrotherapist designation through the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapists of which I am a member.
Through all the anatomy, physiology, pathology and nutrition courses, I am able to understand and inform my clients on the importance of digestion, cellular health, organ health and the lymphatic system as it relates to colon health. I educate my clients on the importance of many factors related to overall health and colon health; it is not just about cleansing the colon. All the intricate pieces of the puzzle of the body have to fit together.
Through my knowledge of Meditation and the Meditation classes that I teach, I can assist my clients in understanding stress and how it plays havoc with the body’s digestive/elimination process as it relates to colon health.
As a RAW CHEF and through the classes I conduct I can show the value of raw vs. cooked food and the importance of live enzymes in maintaining optimum health and in the healing of the body.
I am now working on my certification in Homotoxicology (which has been defined as the analysis of illness within the framework of the body’s inability to deal with the burden of toxins). As a Detox Specialist I can assist you in the removal of these toxins through colon hydrotherapy, nutrition, herbs and crucial supplements.
Allow me to be your personal guide on your path to optimal wellness.
